An idea for the forum. Please give me your opinion

I am thinking of creating a new section in the forum for user subforums.

Let me explain how I imagine this :

• Every user will be able to create a subforum in the sub forums area, from the user control panel.
• You will be able to create sub categories in your subforum
• The member's sub forums will be accesible from all the members of webdigity, and everyone will be able to post.
• You will have the half of the ad space of your subforums

What do you think of this idea? Is there anyone here that would like to create his/her sub forum with this terms?

If there are at least two persons that want to use such a service, I will start it. Otherwise I will wait a little.

Give us an example of what people would put in their subforums. Can they put whatever they want to?

Well that's not a problem for me. You can have a sub forum on any topic you like, untill it is legal and it is not adult oriented

I would made a forum if you provide this service.

This could present the opportunity for a lot of abuse. People using their subforums to create redirect links to all kinds of crazy things. I think this might not be such a great idea.

You are right.

Maybe I should allow this service only to members with more than x posts.

That would be safer, because then you would at least have some idea if their subforums would be worthwhile.

I think a better feature would to be put blogs on here.  It would be fun!

I would probably be easier to moderate a forum than blogs. At this stage I still agree with xRealNinjuzx and think that this will open up the forum for abuse.

I thought this blog thing too, but I can't find the usabillity of a blog. I mean if you want to post something why to post in in the blog as there is a forum where you can post it.

You are scaring me with the abuse thing, so I will propably wait a little before make any decisions on this.

If people want a blog, they can go to Livejournal.com.

Besides, most of us dont care what everyone had for breakfast and stuff.

My average day/post:

"Noon: I woke up. I sat at my desk.
1pm: Sat at my desk.
2pm: Had breakfast at my desk.
3pm: Posted on some forums.
4pm: Sat at my desk.
5pm: Took a shower, thought about my computer.
6pm: Fell asleep at my desk.
11pm: Had dinner at my desk.
12pm: Posted on forums.
12pm to 4am: Sat at my desk.
5am: Went to bed."

The only thing that changes is that I have some sex in the meanwhile

I didnt include anything like that or it would be more like:

"Noon: Girlfriend wakes me up.
1pm: girlfriend asks when we are going out.
2pm: Girlfriend gets pissed because I am still in pajamas."

etc.

I was thinking, you know what would be a great ad package you could sell for points?
