Just curious what everyone's opinions are on hidden spy cameras in your home. Should you spy on your spouse, teen, nanny, housekeeper, etc.? I'm a firm believer that when your child is involved, cameras are a necessity for peace of mind! I'm looking for different opinions for blog topics on my new site. Thanks for your input!

If you don't trust someone, I don't think a camera is what is going to save you

I completely agree with you about that, Nikolas. If you don't trust your spouse...why did you marry them? My dillema is more towards teens and kids who are helpless to defend themselves against people we hire to watch them. Maybe they have glowing references and such, but, isn't it wise to keep an eye on them until you get to know them? Maybe they are having boyfriends over, maybe they are talking on the phone constantly and neglecting your child? Wouldn't you rather know now so it can be dealt with? As far as teens are concerned, I definitely don't approve of putting a camera in their room...that would be an invasion of privacy! But what about the friends they invite over? Wouldn't you like to know if they are doing drugs in the living room? When you first hire a housekeeper, wouldn't it be nice to know that she is earning her keep and doing what you are paying her to do?
