I have come across a few software's that can spin the article in such a way that its hard for even the author to recognize its his original article. But what i wanna know is that doing such a thing is ok? i mean if i spin someone's article and post it in blogs or different article directory will it be accepted and is it fair enough to do it.

For me it is a no, because even if it works it is kind of black hat and it will stop working in the future at some point.
On the other hand I am not sure if you need so many article directory links. I mean you can just post to 2-3 of the top directories instead of spreading an article to the web.

In my experience that seems not to work so well now because of the duplicate content. Of course this may change if you post a different version of the same article to each article directory, but yet it is still black hat.
Maybe we need to do an experiment to see how this would work now

Article spinning was suppose to help with duplicate content penalties. If you wrote the initial article there is nothing unethical about using it, but you may want to proof each "version" as sometimes they become garbled.

Don't use software that spin your article that way. There are other better ones, but you may need to spend some time helping it generate alternatives or options for sentences and phrases inside sentences. You will need to generate two versions for each sentence, and two versions for each chosen phrase inside sentences. When all these are done the software has more options to spin human-sounding articles.

I think what Christopher means is that a "raw" article can be harnessed in this way. Sentence one can have two versions. Inside sentences 1 (the original), 2, and 3, you have two versions each of a chosen phrase. If you spin those, you get a lot of articles that are unique. Stuffing the versions in uses some html-like tags, I understand.
