I just saw Google.com on my site for about half an hour, and AskJeeves has been on for about 15 minutes now.

So my question is, how long after they come and go until I see a change in the engines?

I don't know about askJeeves, but Google will reindex you in a week.

But this will have an impact on the site:www.yoursite.com at first, and then it will be added on the SERPs. So you can wait almost about a month to see the clear results.

I can also give you a tip. If you want to get indexed faster and crawled more frequently try to get more backlinks to your site from high pr pages.

I figured thats why they came and have been there so long. I spent so much time getting directory links and backlinks this week.

We will see in a month Wink

By the way, you have about 2,5 months untill the next pr update, so you can continue working for your links.

It will have a huge impact to your site if you get pr 5 or more

Im shooting for 7, so I have my work cut out for me Smiley

I wonder if there is an estimated number of backlinks I will need to get to certain levels.

Know anything about that?

This is really hard to tell, because the pagerank algorith itself is very complex.

You must have thousands of links to get pr 7, OR get some links from pr6 and higher pages.

So I suggest to get as much high ranked links as you can

I guess that means I have 2.5 months to make 50,000 posts on every forum I can find Smiley

Believe me forum posts will not help much.

And the most of the forums do not show signature links to search engine crawlers

Hehe.

Don't worry so much about this. Just keep up your work and you'll get the desired effect in a matter of time.

After all the internet business is a residual one. I mean that whatever you do small or big, it will keep giving you credit for ever.

Let me give you another advice now : Do not use any of these automatic link exchanges, they really s**k

You've got good content on your forums.  Eventually when people search for game titles they should see your forum somewhere in the results.

Personally when I am looking to answer a question I always hope I get a forum site in the search results.  This way you can get many opinions and also see the viewpoint of different sides.
