There is another tip that is very usefull for the eyes.

Every 20 minutes watch a spot that is 6 metres (20 feet) away from you, for 20 seconds.

It really helps with the eyes.

My daily computer usage varies, but is quite high. I don't have a set schedule, but I'm using my computer until early evening. I watch a few hours of TV and then check forums and email and fall into bed.

Focussing on something across the room or out a window does help the eyes; I've been doing that for years. Fortunately, I have a pretty view of our heavily treed backyard.

Ten hours or more.

My full-time job has me work on the computer at least 9 hours during the day.

When I get home, I usually spend a couple more hours on the computer too (checking and replying to e-mails, tweaking a website, surfing the web, writing C++ programs, etc.)

I spend a lot of time on the computer, when im not on here I'm either watching one of the many programs I've recorded on tivo or taking my 4 yr old on a tricycle ride.
