Looks like we haven't run any contest for a long time, but today we are going to change that in a good way Smiley

In this contest you will have to design a logo for Venture Geeks, a new web site network that is being created right now. Venture Geeks is a funded company so what you will do here goes to a serious business. The cool thing about this contest is that the company is not established yet so there are no standard colors or any other restrictions, and you can create the identity for this new project.

A few ground rules:

  • Logo should be in vector format
  • There should be an icon on it and in general it must be unique
  • You can not use graphics from cliparts

The prize

The prize is $300 USD payable to your paypal account plus a bit of free advertising, as you will be mentioned in the credits area in vg's web site.

Deadline: We will accept submissions until 23-4-2010

We will wait for your creatives, and wish good luck to all contestants Smiley

@fly The company buys/sells web sites and also maintains a web development and marketing team to support its inhouse projects. In other words it is a network of web sites.

Nikolas, can you give us any details on the nature of the business? Helps the logo design process a bit, methinks.

Just post it to your favorite image hosting service (eg. http://imagehoster.eu/ ) and include the image in a post here

Nikolas if we win how long do we get the free advertising. Also do we get it back if they don't use it.  Sometimes when you submit to a contest like this you don't get your design back.

Your design is yours in case you don't win.
The credit will be there for as long the logo will be used, so you can see that as a good reputation for you.
